Beta launch · Gauteng
What if the face came last?
A new dating platform is coming to Gauteng, and you could be among the first to try it. Tired of swiping? Take a table at our beta evening and invite three people you'd love to meet. We host the evening. You tell us if it works.
First beta experience · 26 November 2026 · AfriClassic Rivonia
What others see- A good Sunday
- Breakfast somewhere new, then nowhere in particular.
- I genuinely enjoy
- Cooking for people who arrive hungry.
- Ask me about
- The trip I took without booking accommodation first.

How a table fills, once the platform is live.
This is Lerato's profile. She's the one putting herself out there. Her face stays veiled, so people get curious about her first name, her age and a few honest words instead.
- Your veiled profile goes liveOne photo with the Dish4Two veil, your first name, your age and three prompts. Those prompts become your conversation starters at the table.
- People tap to show interestAnyone curious enough taps "I'd like to meet you". It's a request, not a booking. No chat, no likes, no swiping.
- You accept who you'd like to meetYou see who's interested, veiled too, and accept the people you'd like at your table. Nobody sits at your table without your yes.
- Three yeses book your tableOnce you've accepted three people, your evening at AfriClassic is set. The face reveal happens across the table.
The platform isn't live yet. For the beta evening, you invite your three guests yourself with a personal link, and we test the evening itself. Your feedback shapes how the platform works at launch.
You've swiped enough. What if dating could feel different?
Endless profiles. Half-second judgements. "Hey." Weeks of chatting that go nowhere. Ghosting. Dish4Two is a new dating platform built around real connections, not just online matches. We combine technology with real-life dating experiences, so you can connect beyond the screen.
Your eveningYou host a table and invite three people. 12 to 15 minutes with each. Then privately invite one to continue, or nobody.
A real venue, staff on hand and a clear code of conduct. Your number is never shared unless you both agree.
Nobody sees what anyone spends. The person is always chosen first.
No planning, no performing, no working the room. The evening is run for you. You simply experience it.
Be part of something new
- A seat at the first beta evening
26 November 2026 at AfriClassic Rivonia. Light food and The Second Course included.
- Your three guests, hosted
The three people you invite come as your guests.
- An exclusive first look
Experience how the Dish4Two platform works before anyone else.
- People who want
A genuine connection, not another match notification.
- People who are excited about
Being among the first to experience, and help shape, a new South African dating platform.
This isn't just another date. It's your chance to experience dating differently. Requesting a table doesn't book or charge anything, and we'll confirm everything with you personally before your table is confirmed.
Not ready yet? Just keep me posted
Real connections, not just online matches.
Dish4Two is a dating platform that uses technology for one thing: getting real singles into the same room. Then it gets out of the way.
- Swiping
- Likes and counters
- Compatibility scores
- Weeks of messaging
- Public announcements
- An inbox that never ends
Just a real table, a real conversation, and a private choice.
Curious. A little brave. Completely real.
We're testing a different approach to dating. Here's what you can expect from the Dish4Two beta experience.
05. Help shape the future of Dish4Two. As one of our first beta participants, your experience and feedback help us refine the platform before its wider launch.
A veiled face. Enough to get curious.
Instead of a face, you get a person: a first name, an age and three honest prompts. The idea? Let someone discover your personality before your appearance. For the beta evening, a personal invitation from the person hosting the table gets you a seat, so you may already know each other.

- A first name and an age
- Three honest prompts
- A photo, face veiled
- Their face
- Likes or follower counts
- What anyone would spend
Brave, yes. Exposed, never.
Dating takes courage. Trying something new takes even more. As we test and develop Dish4Two, every participant should feel respected, comfortable and in control. Nobody owes anybody a date.
- Meeting isn't a promiseSaying yes to an introduction never obliges you to continue.
- No is privateThey're simply told the evening continues downstairs. No reason given, nothing announced.
- Nothing is charged on one yesFood is only confirmed when you both say yes.
- No popularity contestsNo likes, no rankings and no follower counts. Your contact details are never shared without your agreement, and your information is handled under POPIA.
- Your feedback mattersBecause this is a beta, we'll be learning from you. You're here to explore a connection, not to perform for an audience.

Ruan would like to continue the evening with you.Would you?
On the tableSomething to Share
Person first. Food second.
Before the evening, you pick what you'd be happy to share. They never see it while deciding. It only reaches the table if you both say yes.
Every option can be made vegetarian, vegan, halal-friendly or gluten-free, and checked against both your dietary needs. Spending more never gives you a better chance.
Still curious? Stay for The Second Course.
Once the introductions finish, everyone heads downstairs. The bar is open, food is out and the room relaxes. If your evening is still open, you get one private choice: someone you'd genuinely like to get to know.
The bar stays open as normal, but a drink never buys you an entry, a match or a giveaway.
When The Second Course sparks something mutual, the Dish4Two team may treat that pair on the spot: coffee and something sweet, or a table for two, that same evening. It's our way of saying staying was worth it.
Gifted at the Dish4Two team's discretion. Never bought, and never won with a drink.Everyone whose evening is still open. You get one private choice.

The first beta evening is forming.
We're keeping it deliberately small: a handful of Gauteng singles hosting a table, and the three people each of them invites. Dish4Two isn't always open. It opens one scheduled evening at a time.
At least 3 women and 3 men host a table, with room for up to 6 of each. With three guests at every table, that's 24 to 48 people. The first beta evening is women meeting men and men meeting women; future formats will be tested separately.
Be among the first to try Dish4Two.
Help us test a new dating platform. Request a table at our first beta evening, 26 November 2026 at AfriClassic Rivonia, and invite the three people you'd most like to meet. Nothing is booked or charged.

- Respectful, authentic, and happy to give honest feedback on your experience.
Someone has saved you a seat.
It's part of the Dish4Two beta, a new dating platform being tested with real Gauteng singles at AfriClassic Rivonia. Taking the seat is entirely your choice, and saying yes doesn't charge you anything.
- You'll have a private, one-on-one conversation with them for 12 to 15 minutes, with prompt cards on the table to get you talking.
- Afterwards, the evening only continues if you both want it to. Nobody owes anybody a date.
- If your evening is still open, stay for The Second Course and meet the rest of the room.

How the evening works, step by step
Present yourself
One chest-up photograph, your first name, your age and three short prompts, which become your conversation starters at the table. We apply the Dish4Two veil to your actual photograph; we don't redesign your appearance.
A guest chooses one person
When the beta profiles open, each guest chooses one featured person they genuinely want to meet. For the beta, Dish4Two may help form the first tables.
The reveal
At AfriClassic you see each other for the first time. Up to three private one-on-one conversations of 12 to 15 minutes each. Prompt cards on the table give you easy ways in, and the Dish4Two Host keeps time and calls each change.
The participant decides
Guests head downstairs. The featured participant may privately invite one person to continue, or choose "No continuation tonight". One maximum, never compulsory.
The guest decides too
If you're invited to continue, you can say Yes or No thank you. A continuation only happens if both people say yes.
Hospitality activates
Only then is the guest's chosen hospitality level confirmed, dietary needs checked and payment taken. AfriClassic starts preparing it.
The Second Course
If your evening is still open, stay, mingle and make one private choice of your own. If it's mutual, it becomes A Table for Two.
24 hours, then it closes
Event follow-ups expire after 24 hours. You can block someone permanently, and only essential records are kept.
The full evening schedule
All times are approximate until the beta rehearsal confirms them.
- ArrivalCheck in and collect your table card: number, symbol and colour. Water, a light arrival snack and the bar.
- WelcomeThe Dish4Two Host explains the essentials.
- Round 112 to 15 minutes one-on-one, with prompt cards on the table. Then a two-minute change.
- Round 212 to 15 minutes, then a two-minute change.

- The guest decidesAn invited guest privately says yes or no thank you. Only mutual pairs continue.
- The Second Course opensEveryone whose evening is still open can mingle and make one private choice.
- Hospitality beginsActivated experiences begin as the kitchen confirms them, after dietary and payment checks.
- The Second Course closesMutual pairs receive a private A Table for Two message. The formal programme ends; AfriClassic stays open as normal.
Hosted. Staffed. Structured.
Code of conduct
Every attendee agrees to this before a seat is confirmed.
- Respect boundaries. Stop when someone says no.
- No harassment and no aggressive sexual behaviour.
- No discriminatory abuse.
- No recording without consent, and never during the private introductions.
- Never share somebody else's details.
- Serious misconduct can mean removal from the evening and exclusion from future events.

All questions
Is Dish4Two a dating app?
Dish4Two is a new dating platform launching in Gauteng, built around real connections rather than online matches. It combines technology with real-life dating experiences, starting with hosted evenings where you meet in person.
What is the beta?
Before Dish4Two opens more widely, we're inviting real singles to try it first. Our first beta experience is on 26 November 2026 at AfriClassic Rivonia, hosted by Bennum van Jaarsveld. Singles host a table and invite three people they'd love to meet, and we host the evening. Your experience and feedback help us refine the platform before its wider launch.
Who's behind Dish4Two?
The first evening is hosted by Bennum van Jaarsveld, Prestige Africa Master of Ceremonies of the Year 2026. Our creative and production partner is Letjatji Group, an established Johannesburg film and television production company. The venue is AfriClassic Rivonia.
Who can take part in the beta?
Single adults aged 18 and over who live in Gauteng. The first beta evening is being tested with women meeting men and men meeting women, so we can validate the format with a small, balanced room. Future formats will be tested separately.
Will I know their age?
Yes. Faces stay veiled, but age isn't treated as a surprise. Every profile shows a first name and age.
Will my face be shown online?
No. We apply the Dish4Two veil to your actual photograph; we don't redesign your appearance. Your face is revealed only when you meet in person.
Am I anonymous?
No, and we don't claim you are. Your hairstyle, clothing and other parts of the photograph may still be recognisable. We simply keep the face reveal for the in-person meeting.
Do I have to choose somebody?
No. Featured participants may choose one person at most. “No continuation tonight” is always a valid option.
What if they choose me and I don't want to continue?
You can say no. Being interested before the event doesn't obligate you after meeting. A hospitality experience only activates if both people agree to continue.
What if my table has only two guests?
This is a beta, so some tables may run with two introductions. Dish4Two will confirm your final table before the event. We won't display popularity counts or tell the room how many people expressed interest.
What if somebody cancels?
We keep a small standby pool and will try to fill open places where the replacement genuinely chose that table. We won't insert a random person just to make the numbers work. If your experience changes materially, we'll contact you directly and apply the beta's refund or credit policy.
What if I'm late?
Please arrive by 18:40 so the rounds can start on time. The late-arrival rules will be in the beta terms, published before bookings open.
What exactly does the ticket include?
Dish4Two entry, the hosted introduction programme, baseline light fare, and The Second Course and social evening. Drinks are for your own account. A ticket buys the hosted evening, not a guaranteed date or match.
When am I charged for the hospitality experience?
Only if you're invited to continue and you also say yes. Then dietary needs are checked, the final dish is confirmed and payment is taken.
Does a more expensive experience improve my chance?
No. The featured participant can't see your hospitality level before deciding, and spending never changes who can choose you.
What if I have dietary requirements?
Tell us when you join. It's operational information for AfriClassic, never profile content, and it's checked again before any hospitality experience is prepared.
What is The Second Course?
Once the structured introductions end, the room opens up downstairs. If your evening is still open, you can mingle and make one private choice of someone you'd like to get to know. If they choose you too, you'll both be told.
Do I have to take part in The Second Course?
No. Stay, leave, eat, drink or simply enjoy the room. It's optional.
Who can I choose in The Second Course?
Only attendees who are eligible and whose evening is still open appear as possible choices. Nobody knows you chose them unless they chose you too.
What happens after 24 hours?
For 24 hours you can respond to the event's follow-up options. After that the event closes socially. Transaction, safety, blocking and legally required records may be kept as described in the privacy notice.
Can I block someone?
Yes. You can privately block another attendee. Dish4Two keeps the minimum information needed to make sure you're not paired again.
What if something makes me uncomfortable?
Speak to the Dish4Two support person or AfriClassic staff during the evening, or use the private report option afterwards.
Will I be filmed?
There's no filming during the private introductions. Any event content is limited to consented areas and people who have explicitly opted in, and the Host and our production partner follow the same rule.
Can I leave whenever I want?
Yes, at any time. Nobody has to exchange numbers or leave with anyone.
Is accommodation part of Dish4Two?
No. Accommodation can be booked separately through AfriClassic and is not part of the Dish4Two selection process.
What happens to my original photo?
It isn't shown to other attendees online. Dish4Two uses it only for the agreed profile and verification process and handles it according to the privacy notice. You can request access to or deletion of your information, subject to records we or AfriClassic may need to keep for transactions, safety, disputes or legal obligations.
How do I apply to host a future evening?
Use the Host a future evening section. It's a separate, short application.
Can I come to another evening?
Yes. Repeat-attendance rules will be confirmed after the beta evening. If your evening doesn't continue, you'll also be invited to put yourself out there next time.
How do I contact Dish4Two?
Email hello@dish4two.co.za with any questions, or WhatsApp us on 063 668 8398, before or during the evening. Once you've applied, you can also join the beta WhatsApp group for updates.

Bring the room together.
One visible Host keeps the evening warm and on time. AfriClassic runs the hospitality, and a Dish4Two support person handles anything operational.
- Welcomes the room and explains the essentials
- Keeps time and calls each change
- Opens the private decisions and The Second Course
- Closes the formal programme
- Handles payments or kitchen orders
- Sees private attendee data or chooses matches
- Films the introductions
- Announces who chose whom
- Dinner and drinks for you and a plus-one on the night
- "Hosted by" on the event page
- First call on paid hosting as the evenings grow
Media enquiry? Email hello@dish4two.co.za.

Thank you. We read every application personally. If it's a fit, we'll be in touch on WhatsApp to set up a short call.
